I’m excited to have a big publication coming out soon with Phoebe, a literary magazine out of George Mason University. “Nothing but Space” went through at least eight drafts and was rejected ten (!) times before being accepted. It was also a finalist with the Fall 2022 essay contest from American Literary Review at the University of North Texas.
“Nothing but Space” started life as “Fifteen Untitled Works in Concrete,” a title it shares with the massive artwork by Donald Judd in Marfa, Texas (pictured above), which I visited in December 2018 and discuss at length in the essay.
I’m so pumped about this sub that I’m making a post about it before it even comes out (in about two weeks).
Watch this space for a link! It will even be in the print version!
