New Poem: From Behind the Closed Doors…

offuttI have a new poem out now with Farewell Transmission, a piece I wrote with them in mind. This is “From Behind the Closed Doors of Strategic Air Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, October 27, 1962 (Cuban Missile Crisis),” and that’s got to be the longest title I’ve ever given a poem.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t share the episode of This American Life from which I initially drew the inspiration for this poem, “One Last Thing Before I Go,” as well as “On Tickling the Dragon’s Tail” from the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.
